It will only have to be a little heaver to overcome the adjuster spring. Actually the more I think about this the more helpful I think your spring will be. I'm sure I need a stiffer spring to fight against the weights and the spring in the adjuster. In my opinion you have a much better governer than I do. The spring is behind the push pin not around it. The weights swing and push in the opposite direction. I really appreciate you taking the time to look for me! Unfortunately, if you compare the parts drawing you posted, to your picture, you will see that it's a different version of the governer.
